In this day and age of nanotechnology and the proliferation of resistant bacteria we humans are constantly battling the deleterious effects these bugs have on our lives. One weapon to help reduce the bacteria from spreading is to make surfaces uninhabitable for bacteria. That’s where antibacterial coatings may be used to keep these microbes from multiplying as fast as they do therefore decreasing the ability to infect their hosts.
